How different Student Loans are from Education Grants?There are lot of options available if someone is trying to decide how he/she can afford to go to college. Financial aid is available in many types, including both student loans and grants. However, it is not easy to differentiate student-loans and grants. Government gives students special type of financial aid which we call grants. Grants are based on need and decided by the the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is the only way to qualify for these government grants. Grants is like a free money but they are difficult to get than student loans are. Although brants they provide some support for college, they probably won't pay the entire expense of your education. Student loans are available if you need more money for college. Student loans help you to pay for tuition and other fees and expenses you may have while attending college. There are lot of federal student loans to choose from, including loans your parents can take out too. Student loans are the not same like grants because student loans have to be paid back. While grant money is never supposed to be paid back, your student loans will have to be paid back in the future. There is possibility to qualify for both options student loans and grants. Grants are wonderful option because you don't have to return money, and to supplement your grants, student loans can be very useful. Student needs to fill out FAFSA forms and submit as soon as possible to get either student loan or grant from the government. |
